what everyone else sees
Whenever you’re
not looking, or someone else is.
Gardlok blurs your screen the moment you look away, walk off, or someone looks over your shoulder. It watches with your Mac’s camera, your phone or watch, or both.

Leave your desk and it blurs at once. After a minute (you can choose anything from 15 seconds to 2 minutes) the camera sleeps and the screen locks: your face, Touch ID or your password opens it.
Someone glances over your shoulder, even just walking past, and your screens blur until they have gone.
Add your phone or watch over Bluetooth by holding it next to your Mac once. When it goes further away than you set, the screen locks, with the camera or without it. Bringing it back doesn’t unlock it: you do.
In Terminal, lsof -i -a -c Gardlok | wc -l prints 0: no open connections. codesign -d --entitlements - /Applications/Gardlok.app | grep -c camera prints 1: the camera entitlement.
No open connections, with the camera on. Gardlok never connects on its own: only when you click to activate a licence, refresh a Team subscription or check for updates. Camera images never leave your Mac. Run it yourself.

One Mac. A Personal key is for one person, on up to 3 of their own Macs. A Team key covers as many Macs as your plan has.
Personal is for one person and their own Macs. For colleagues, Team costs less than a Personal key each in the first year, with one key to manage, company invoices and a size that changes with the team.
For 14 days everything works, with no account or card. After that, a licence key keeps it going.
Yes, any time. Switch between Team 5, 10, 25 and 50 and the billing is prorated. The new size comes with a new key: enter it on your Macs before your next renewal date.
On the renewal date, Gardlok asks each Mac to check its licence, and the shared key stops working. Each person then has 14 days to buy a Personal licence, which never expires.
No. Your phone or watch over Bluetooth works on its own, and then the camera stays off. With a camera, the built-in one works best; better support for external cameras is coming.
For the real blur of your own screen. A quarter-size capture stays in memory while the blur shows and is never saved. Without the permission, it covers your screen with frosted glass instead.
Only when you click: to activate a key, refresh a Team subscription or check for updates. Never in the background, and camera images never leave your Mac.
Gardlok in your own language, not just English.
Support for Android phones, via a companion app.
Better support for webcams, such as one on an external display.
A test build, not yet notarised by Apple, so macOS refuses the first open. That is expected:
